Equatorial Guinea opens new international airport

Equatorial Guinea opened (15-Oct-2012) President Obiang Nguema International Airport at Mongomeyen on 12-Oct-2012. It is the country's fifth international airport. The airport features one 3000m runway and can handle aircraft up to Boeing 747-400 in size. The XAF190 billion (USD375.6 million) project was funded entirely by the Government of Equatorial Guinea.
