EgyptAir secured a EGP20 billion financing facility from Egypt's Ministry of Finance to support its five year growth strategy, aiming to expand its fleet from 65 to 125 aircraft by 20301. Chairman and CEO Yehia Zakaria reported the airline was seeking up to 20 leased aircraft and was in discussions with Airbus and Boeing for additional widebody orders, targeting a fleet of up to 125 aircraft by 20292.
