Edinburgh Airport previously planned multiple pick-up and drop-off fee increases, including a ten-minute charge rising from GBP4 to GBP5 from 17-Jul-2023 after a GBP1.6 million redevelopment, and a further GBP1 rise from 13-Jan-2025 to start at GBP6 for the first ten minutes, partly to encourage public transport use.1 2 Other UK airports also linked higher drop-off charges to surging business rates, with Bristol increasing to GBP8.50 for ten minutes from 05-Jan-2026.3
