easyJet to launch over 70 new routes in 2010

easyJet will launch its first new routes of 2010 this week, including London Gatwick-Hamburg and London Gatwick-Dusseldorf services from 02-Feb-2010 - see Route Changes Table for more information (etravel/Cheap Flights, 02-Feb-2010). In the next six months, easyJet is set to launch over 70 new routes across its European network, for a total of over 500 routes to/from 120 airports in 28 countries. The airline expects more new routes to be announced in the coming weeks.

easyJet: "easyJet continues to attract new customers because we offer the lowest fares to the most convenient airports. Despite the challenging economic conditions, we will grow 10% and will carry 50 million passengers this year on over 500 routes. The 70 new routes we will launch in the coming months will reinforce our position as Europe's Number 1 air transport network," Andy Harrison, CEO. Source: Etravel, 02-Feb-2010.
