easyJet CEO to resign; to remain in current role until 30-Jun-2010

easyJet confirmed (09-Dec-2009) that CEO, Andy Harrison, has indicated his desire to leave the company in order to seek "new challenges". Mr Harrison will remain in his current role until 30-Jun-2010 when it is anticipated he will step down from the Board and leave the company. The carrier also announced that Sir Michael Rake will take over from Sir David Michels as the Group's Chairman, effective 01-Jan-2010, at which point Sir David will resume the role of Senior Independent Director.
