Airbus and Emirates commenced inspections after accelerated A380 wing spar cracking was detected, with inspections and potential repairs averaging 60 days per aircraft; Emirates said most work was done at its Engineering Centre with Airbus MRO support in Toulouse, and the programme was expected to run until 3Q2024.1 Qantas head of engineering Chris Snook said inspections of two A380s were completed with no structural integrity concerns.2
