Düsseldorf Airport previously outlined the DUSconnect plan for a 70,000sqm trimodal mobility hub by 2035, backed by around EUR200 million, to better link air, rail and road transport and potentially shift remaining domestic German flights to ICE rail, according to CEO Lars Redeligx.1 It also trialled a hydrogen-powered passenger transport bus for two weeks, alongside wider electrification plans including a 14MWp photovoltaic system and a target for its electric vehicle fleet to reach 50% by 2030.2 3
