13-Jan-2010 AeroMexico, Mexico’s largest transcontinental airline, announced that it has ordered a total of five Boeing 787 planes to be used on long distance flights, giving passengers an unparalleled flight experience. This comes following the first successful test flight of the Boeing 787 jetliner, held last month in Seattle, Washington.

With its state-of-the-art technology, the Boeing 787 will use 20 percent less fuel while offering 45 percent more baggage storage capacity. Passengers will also benefit from a number of innovative interior services including purer air, larger windows, greater carry-on storage space, as well as the excellent onboard service for which AeroMexico is known.

Boeing is scheduled to conduct a total of six test flights for the 787's test program in the months to come.

AeroMexico expects to receive its first Boeing 787 within the next two years, continuing its reputation of having one of the most modern and updated fleets of aircraft in the world.
