06-Jan-2010:

Oslo Airport has informed its owner Avinor that the company is willing to test new security technology. This is highly relevant following the attempted terrorist attack in the USA on 25 December.

OSL wishes to emphasize that the security control at the airport will take place as normal until any trial period commences. It has not yet been determined when the new security measures will be put in place. This is dependent on technology developments in the market.

Any trial period will take place in cooperation with the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority, which is the supreme authority for air safety in Norway.
