Suspicious Incident on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 from Amsterdam Resolved
27-Dec-2009: Northwest Airlines Flight 253 destined for Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) from Amsterdam (AMS), Sunday, December 27, 2009, experienced a suspicious incident shortly before reaching Detroit. Upon arrival the aircraft was taxied to an isolated inspection area as a precaution. Passengers were transported by the Airport Authority via bus to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection area for processing. They remained in the Federal Inspection Service area until their luggage was individually inspected on the ramp before being returned to them.
