28-Sep-2009 The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced it has awarded its Information Technology Infrastructure Program (ITIP) contract to CSC, of Falls Church, Va. The contract award is valued at approximately $493 million for the five year life cycle of the contract.

The ITIP contract ensures TSA staff has computing and communications hardware, software and services. In addition, it protects the network from cyber threats and is flexible in order to accommodate changes in demand for information technology capabilities.

The ITIP contract will allow for the design, maintenance and enhancement of TSA's information technology capabilities. CSC will provide support to TSA facilities around the world, including airports, mission critical centers and international support centers.

"TSA is pleased to award this important contract to support its information technology systems," said Dr. Emma Garrison-Alexander, Assistant Administrator, Information Technology/Chief Information Officer. "This program ensures that TSA can fulfill our mission at airports around the country using secure technology systems and receiving the support necessary to carry out our critical work."

TSA selected CSC through a competitive contracting process. The award was competed among contractors on the DHS-wide Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract.
