Delta Air Lines to invest USD1 billion in inflight enhancements, fuel efficiency

Delta Air Lines announced plans to invest approximately USD300 million p/a until mid-2013 to enhance entertainment options in Economy cabins, lie-flat seats for international premium passengers, airport lounges and other customer service enhancements (AP, 25-Jan-2010). Delta also will install winglets on more than 170 B767-300ER, B757-200 and B737-800 aircraft to extend aircraft range and improve fuel efficiency by as much as 5%.
