Delta Air Lines pax numbers up 1% in Nov-2012, PRASM up 3%

Delta Air Lines reports (04-Dec-2012) the following traffic highlights in Nov-2012:

  • Passenger numbers: 13 million, +0.6% year-on-year;
  • Revenue passenger miles: +1.2%;
  • Passenger load factor: 82.5%, +1.1 ppts;
    • Domestic: 82.9%, -0.6 ppts;
    • International: 81.8%, +4.0 ppts;
    • Latin America: 82.2%, +4.5 ppts;
    • Europe: 81.0%, +2.5 ppts;
    • Asia Pacific: 82.7%, +6.1 ppts;

Delta Air Lines: “The company is estimating that the effect of Superstorm Sandy early in November negatively impacted November revenues by USD30 million and reduced November profit by approximately USD25 million.
