De Havilland Aircraft of Canada stated that the Dash 8-400 is its first aircraft to feature Starlink, enabling internet access even in remote and previously unserved regions. Starlink connectivity was offered as both a factory and retrofit option through its OEM Refurbishment Program for in-service aircraft1. Air Canada planned to offer free WiFi on select Dash 8-400s from Oct-2025, describing this as an industry first for the type2.
