Czech Airlines reports turnaround with EUR9.2m operating profit in 2015

Czech Airlines reported (19-Feb-2016) a CZK250 million (EUR9.2 million) operating profit in 2015, a turnaround from CZK598 million (EUR21.9 million) operating loss in 2014. The carrier also reported a turnaround in net results from a CZK631 million (EUR23.1 million) net loss in 2014 to a CZK223 million (EUR8.2 million) net profit in 2015. During the year, the carrier transported 2.0 million passengers, a decline of 11.5% year-on-year. Load factor improved 5 ppts to 72%. Looking ahead, chairman Jozef Sinčák said the carrier is targeting CZK180 million (EUR6.6 million) operating profit in 2016. [more - original PR]
