Copa Airlines announced plans to recruit over 1500 staff in 2025, ending the year with 8041 employees in Panama versus 7500 at end-20241. It also planned to add 13 aircraft in 2025, with a 104-strong fleet including 59 Boeing 737-800s and 32 737 MAX 9s2. CEO Pedro Heilbron said it planned to expand its Panama City Tocumen MRO facility by end-2025, with about 70% of maintenance performed in-house3.
