Continental pax up 0.8%, RASM up 22% in Jun-2010

Continental Airlines passenger numbers up 0.8% - consolidated traffic highlights in Jun-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 5.7 million, +0.8% year-on-year;
  • Passenger traffic (RPMs): +4.7%;
  • Passenger load factor: 86.9%, +2.1 ppts;
    • Domestic: 88.2%, +0.1 ppt;
    • International: 86.5%, +4.0 ppts;
      • Trans-Atlantic: 88.8%, +5.5 ppts;
      • Latin America: 82.3%, -4.2 ppts;
      • Asia Pacific: 86.8%, +12.2 ppts;
  • Revenue per ASM: +21.0% to +22.0%;
    • Mainline: +20.5% to +21.5%. [more]

Continental Airlines: “For June 2010, consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) is estimated to have increased between 21 and 22% compared to June 2009, while mainline RASM is estimated to have increased between 20.5% and 21.5%. For May 2010, consolidated passenger RASM increased 23.4% compared to May 2009, while mainline passenger RASM increased 22.6% compared to the same period 2009,” Company statement.
