Continental passenger numbers up 3.1%, load factor also improves in Jan-2010

Continental passenger numbers up 3.1% - consolidated traffic highlights in Jan-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 4.7 million, +3.1% year-on-year;
  • Passenger traffic (RPMs): +8.5%;
  • Passenger load factor: 77.2%, +4.0 ppts;
    • Domestic: 78.2%, +1.6 ppt;
    • International: 77.8%, +6.1 ppts;
  • Cargo traffic (FTMs): +2.0%;
  • Revenue per ASM:
    • Dec-2009: -4.1%. [more]

Continental: "For January 2010, consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) is estimated to have decreased between 1.0 and 2.0 percent compared to January 2009, while mainline RASM is estimated to have decreased between 2.5 and 3.5 percent. For December 2009, consolidated passenger RASM decreased 4.1 percent compared to December 2008, while mainline passenger RASM decreased 4.8 percent compared to December 2008," Company statement.
