Continental Airlines passenger numbers down 1.6% - consolidated traffic highlights in Jul-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 6.1 million, -1.6% year-on-year;
  • Passenger traffic (RPMs): +2.5%;
  • Passenger load factor: 88.0%, +0.7 ppt;
    • Domestic: 89.1%, -1.4 ppt;
    • International: 88.0%, +2.7 ppts;
      • Trans-Atlantic: 89.0%, +3.0 ppts;
      • Latin America: 86.8%, -1.6 ppt;
      • Asia Pacific: 87.4%, +8.9 ppts;
  • Revenue per ASM: +20.5% to +21.5%;

Continental Airlines: “For July 2010, consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) is estimated to have increased between 20.5% and 21.5% compared to July 2009, while mainline RASM is estimated to have increased between 21.5% and 22.5%. For June 2010, consolidated passenger RASM increased 21.5% compared to June 2009, while mainline passenger RASM increased 20.9% compared to the same period last year,” Company statement.
