Continental Airlines passenger numbers up 1.4% Sep-2010

United Continental Holdings reports (01-Oct-2010) the following traffic highlights for Continental Airlines in Sep-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 4.7 million, +1.4% year-on-year;
  • Passenger traffic (RPMs): +3.1%;
  • Passenger load factor: 82.9%, +1.4 ppts;
    • Domestic: 82.8%, -1.2 ppts;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 86.6%, +3.5 ppts;
    • Latin America: 78.4%, +0.8 ppt;
    • Asia Pacific: 84%, +7.2 ppts. [more]

United Continental Holdings: “For Sep-2010, consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) for Continental is estimated to have increased between 19.0 and 20.0 percent compared to Sept-2009, while Continental's mainline RASM is estimated to have increased between 21.0 to 22.0 percent compared to the same period last year,” Source: Company statement, 01-Oct-2010.
