Consolidation of Chinese cargo units and State capital injection not a rumour: Air China

Air China Chairman, Kong Dong, stated that recent media reports the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission plans to lead the freight consolidation of China's "big three" airlines and inject a "considerable" amount of capital into the new freight company is "not a rumour" (AirNews.cn, 14-May-2010). The new cargo company will be headquartered in Shanghai. Air China and Cathay Pacific are planning to establish a Shanghai-based cargo venture.
