Chinese carriers seeking to delay B787 deliveries

Boeing stated it is in negotiations with Chinese airlines, including China Southern Airlines, to further delay initial deliveries of B787 orders (Reuters, 07-Sep-2009). Chinese carriers have ordered nearly 50 B787 aircraft.

Boeing: "All of them [Chinese airlines] have already delayed. It's a mutual decision, it's not one-sided. Based on our delay, we could have aircraft for them by the end of next year, but it's too early for them.
