China's trade surplus to exceed USD180bn by year-end: Minister of Commerce

China's Minister of Commerce Chen Deming stated China's trade surplus will exceed USD180 billion by the end of the year and USD4 trillion in 2015 (China Daily, 29-Oct-2010). China's trade surplus for the nine months ended 30-Sep-2010 reached USD120.6 billion. Mr Chen added because bailout measures during the financial crisis will come to an end next year, foreign trade must increase in order to keep the nation's economic recovery steady.
