China targets 10% growth and 3% inflation in 2010
China's National Bureau of Statistics Director, Ma Jiantang, stated it would be a "good result" for China if it could achieve a growth rate of 10% and a consumer price index growth of 3% in 2010 (Xinhua, 15-Sep-2010). Mr Ma added he is not worried about the speed of China's economic growth but urges the government to focus on economic restructuring and the transformation of the nation's economic growth model.
