It also promoted broader sustainability initiatives, including its “Green Flight” carbon-offset service and reported saving more than seven million meal units since Apr-20192 3. Peer airlines also replaced onboard disposable tableware with biodegradable materials, including Air China from 2022 (extended internationally in 2024)4.
