China Everbright Ltd acquires 100% of the shares in Tirana International Airport

China Everbright Ltd, a financial services/fund investor based in Hong Kong, acquired (07-Oct-2016) 100% of Tirana International Airport (TIA). AviAlliance GmbH, Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft and the Albanian-American Enterprise Fund were responsible for TIA's development since 23-Apr-2005. China Everbright Ltd executive director and CEO Chen Shuang said: "The acquisition is a proactive corporate approach to identify good infrastructure investment opportunities, which is in line with China's 'One Belt, One Road' Initiative.
