Airbus previously confirmed China Eastern Airlines signed for 100 A320neo series aircraft, scheduled for staged delivery from 2024 to 2027, as part of a wider 292-unit A320 Family deal involving Air China, China Southern Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines.1 China Eastern stated it expected to retire about 68 A320 Family aircraft from 2024 to 2027 as leases matured and aircraft aged, with replacement capacity initially focused on domestic trunk routes and later some international services.2
