China could face cabin crew shortage

China's aviation industry is facing a cabin crew shortage as more carriers expand into the country (CNA, 28-Apr-2011). Both domestic and international carriers are stepping up their recruitment to cater to the growth expected in China. Over the next 20 years, it is estimated that domestic carriers will need an additional 2000 cabin crew per year.
