China and Taiwan agree to increase cross-Strait flights to 558 weekly

China's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait and Taiwan's Straits Exchange Foundation confirmed they have agreed to increase the number of direct cross-Strait flights from 370 to 558 per week including six additional Shanghai Pudong flights and two additional Beijing flights (China Times, 09-Jun-2011). The associations also agreed to add 20 cross-Strait charters from Penghu and 20 from Fujian.
