China Airlines reports losses in 2011

China Airlines revenue down 4% – financial highlights for 12 months ended 31-Dec-2011:

  • Operating revenue: TWD132,240 million (USD4521 million), -4.3% year-on-year;
  • Transport revenue: TWD127,214 million (USD4349 million), -4.0%;
  • Operating costs: TWD125,015 million (USD4274 million), +10.1%;
  • Operating expenses: TWD8790 million (USD300.5 million), -10.5%;
  • Operating profit (loss): (TWD1565 million) (USD53.5 million), compared to a profit of USD504.8 million in p-c-p;
  • Net profit (loss): (TWD1954 million) (USD66.8 million), compared to a profit of USD363.1 million in p-c-p;
  • Total assets: TWD202,690 million (USD6929 million), -0.2%;
  • Cash and cash equivalents: TWD8947 million (USD305.9 million), -17.1%;
  • Total liabilities: TWD155,631 million (USD5321 million), +0.8%.
