China Airlines 1H2009 revenue down 29.4%, losses ease

China Airlines revenue down 29.4% - consolidated financial highlights for the six months ended 30-Jun-2009:

Operating revenue: USD1,425 million, -29.4% year-on-year;
Operating costs: USD1,271 million, -36.3%;
Operating profit (loss): (USD47.8 million), compared to a loss of USD223.7 million in the previous corresponding period;
Net profit (loss): (USD71.9 million), compared to a loss of USD198.4 million in the previous corresponding period;
*Based on the conversion rate at USD1 = TWD32.90
