CFM LEAP A321neo receives EASA and FAA type certification

CFM International announced (01-Mar-2017) the A321neo powered by CFM International's LEAP-1A engine received type certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Airbus plans to deliver its first A321neo in 2H2017. The LEAP-1A-powered A320neo entered commercial service in August 2016 and nine airlines have taken delivery of a total of 72 engines to date.
