Cebu Pacific pax up 12% in 3Q2011, forward bookings improve

Cebu Pacific released the following additional operational highlights for three months ended 30-Sep-2011:

• Passenger numbers: 2.8 million, +11.7% year-on-year;
  • Domestic: 2.1 million, +8.9%;
  • International: 700,000, +21.8%;
• Load factor: 84.0%, +0.5 ppt;
• Total cost per ASK: USD 5.75 cents, +13.7%;
• Cost per ASK excl fuel: USD 2.87 cents, -1.7%;
• Market share:
  • Domestic: 45.0%, -4.2 ppts;
• Average fare: USD48.92, -2.9%;
• Forward booking^:
  • Dec-2011: +32% year-on-year growth in bookings;
  • Jan-2012: +47%;
  • Feb-2012: +46%.

Cebu reported web bookings accounted for 50.8% of its total sales for the first nine months of 2011, followed by third party sales agents (29.9%) and Cebu's ticket offices and call centres (19.3%).
