Cathay Pacific orders six A350-900s for deployment on services to Europe

Cathay Pacific stated (20-Jan-2012) it has ordered six A350-900 aircraft, worth USD1.63 billion at list price, to be used predominantly on services to Europe. The airline stated it had purchased the A350-900s with "significant price concessions" from the manufacturer, for delivery between 2016 and 2017. The company will fund the transaction with commercial bank loans, other debt instruments and internal cash resources, it said, adding the aircraft will be paid for in eight instalments.
