Transport Canada previously expanded multiple bilaterals, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE, raising passenger entitlements and moving to unlimited all-cargo services with open fifth freedom cargo rights in both markets1. It also concluded a new agreement with Albania allowing multiple designated airlines, up to 14 weekly passenger flights and 10 weekly cargo flights per country, plus access to any point in each country2. Canada also allowed an incremental increase in direct passenger combination flights with China and permitted up to 20 all-cargo flights per week3.
