CAAC to encourage consolidation and overseas acquisitions
CAAC reportedly plans to encourage state-owned carriers to consolidate with smaller Chinese carriers and acquire overseas carriers (DealBook, 14-Jan-2010). China plans to have one of the world's top five airlines by 2030. Further details were not disclosed.
