CAAC reported the following traffic highlights for Chinese airlines (Carnoc.com, 13-Jun-2019):

• May-2019:
  • Passengers: 54.5 million, +8.7% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 48.5 million, +7.6%;
    • International: 6.0 million, +18.7%;
  • Cargo: 624,000 tonnes, -0.4%;
    • Domestic: 416,000 tonnes, stable;
    • International: 208,000 tonnes, -1.2%;
• Five months ended May-2019:
  • Passengers: 268 million, +8.5%;
    • Domestic: 238 million, +7.6%;
    • International: 30.2 million, +16.5%;
  • Cargo: 2.9 million tonnes, -1.4%;
    • 2.0 million tonnes, -1.5%;
    • 949,000 tonnes, -1.1%.
