CAAC East airports report 20% jump in pax in Oct-2010

CAAC East China Regional Administration reported (11-Nov-2010) the following traffic highlights for its member airports in Oct-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 16.5 million, +20.2% year-on-year;
    • Shanghai Pudong: 3.9 million, +28.7%;
    • Shanghai Hongqiao: 3.2 million, +39.6%;
    • Hangzhou Airport: 1.6 million, +11.4%;
    • Xiamen Airport: 1.2 million, +5.9%;
    • Nanjing Airport: 1.2 million, +14.1%;
    • Qingdao Airport: 1.1 million, +10.8%;
  • Cargo volume: 454,160 tonnes, +12.0%;
    • Shanghai Pudong: 284,900 tonnes, +8.9%;
    • Shanghai Hongqiao: 43,000 tonnes, +9.3%;
    • Hangzhou: 26,306 tonnes, +24.3%;
    • Xiamen: 20,970 tonnes, +23.8%;
    • Nanjing: 19,797 tonnes, +22.0%;
    • Qingdao: 13,997 tonnes, +7.9%;
  • Aircraft movements: 133,051, +11.7%;
    • Shanghai Pudong: 30,307, +18.4%;
    • Shanghai Hongqiao: 20,859, +28.5%;
    • Hangzhou: 12,604, +5.0%;
    • Xiamen: 9730, +0.5%;
    • Nanjing: 10,097, +6.7%;
    • Qingdao: 9357, +4.7%.
