CAAC East airports pax up 14% in Apr-2011

China’s CAAC East China Regional Administration reported the following traffic highlights for its member airports in Apr-2011:

  • Passenger numbers: 16.0 million, +13.5% year-on-year;
    • Shanghai Pudong Airport: 3.4 million, +5.4%;
    • Shanghai Hongqiao Airport: 2.9 million, +23.3%;
    • Hangzhou Airport: 1.6 million, +8.2%;
    • Xiamen Airport: 1.4 million, +16.5%;
    • Nanjing Airport: 1.1 million, +10.4%;
    • Qingdao Airport: 998,190, +7.7%;
  • Cargo volume: 470,140 tonnes, +4.4%;
    • Shanghai Pudong: 299,700 tonnes, +4.7%;
    • Shanghai Hongqiao: 39,397 tonnes, -7.1%;
    • Hangzhou: 26,698 tonnes, +11.0%;
    • Xiamen: 23,504 tonnes, +9.0%;
    • Nanjing: 20,504 tonnes, -2.5%;
    • Qingdao: 13,669 tonnes, -4.3%;
  • Aircraft movements: 133,571, +9.5%;
    • Shanghai Pudong: 28,736, +8.1%;
    • Shanghai Hongqiao: 19,387, +10.2%;
    • Hangzhou: 12,312, +2.4%;
    • Xiamen: 11,372, +17.0%;
    • Nanjing: 9883, +5.0%;
    • Qingdao: 8947, +2.1%.
