CAAC: Chinese carriers incur three consecutive month of losses in Jan-2013

CAAC reported Chinese carriers incurred a loss of CNY1000 million (USD156.3 million) in Jan-2013, after losses in Nov-2012 and Dec-2012, as reported by Yicai. Chinese carriers reported a profit in Jan-2012 due to Chinese New Year falling in Jan-2012. CAAC reported passenger numbers in Jan-2013 remained steady compared to Jan-2012 while cargo volume increased by 34.6% to 476,600 tonnes. Load factor in Jan-2013 also remained at 78.2%.
