Deutsche Bahn previously outlined plans for an intercity express service linking Brussels Airport with Antwerp, Leuven, Liège, Cologne and Aachen by Sep-2026, with twice daily frequencies expected.1 Brussels Airport also planned a major terminal and landside expansion including a new intermodal hub and additional tram links to complement existing rail and bus connectivity, with works due to start in late 2026 and complete in phases by 2032.2
