British Airways discussing corporate governance structures with Iberia

British Airways stated it is discussing potential corporate governance structures with Iberia, but noted a merger would only proceed if the union delivers synergies (Dow Jones, 05-Oct-2009). BA stated it does not have a timeframe for concluding talks with Iberia.
