Brazil retail trade increases slightly; employment down

Brazil's National Statistic Agency stated (12-Nov-2010) the country's retail trade increased 0.4% month-on-month in Sep-2010 based on the volume of sales with 0.9% growth for nominal revenue. As a result, the sector completes five consecutive months of positive rates, in the volume of sales, and nine months for the sales nominal revenue. Separately the agency stated (11-Nov-2010) the industrial employment (seasonally adjusted) changed -0.1% month-on-month in Sep-2010, after eight positive results, when it accumulated an expansion of 3.4%.
