Brazil's Government established a private investment programme for regional airports, aiming to transfer management of deficit-ridden terminals to existing concessionaires, with initial proposals expected in Sep-2025 and contractual adjustments by year-end. The first phase targeted 19 airports in the Legal Amazon and Northeast, with investments totalling BRL1.35 billion to enhance regional connectivity and competitiveness in the sector1.
