Bordeaux Airport commences permanent supply of sustainable aviation fuel

Bordeaux Airport, via its official LinkedIn account, announced (12-Jun-2022) a "multi year" partnership to offer sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) supplied by TotalEnergies to airlines and business aviation partners on a permanent basis. The first clients to use the SAF solution were Lufthansa on service to Frankfurt, Air France on service to Paris and Airlec on a medical assistance flight. The solution, which contains a blend of 30% SAF and 70% traditional fuel, is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90% across its life cycle, compared to the fossil fuel equivalent.
