Bolivian pax up 8% in Jan-Feb-2013; Boliviana captures 86% market share

Bolivia's Directorate General of Civil Aviation reported passenger numbers increased 8% year-on-year in Jan-Feb-2013, to 243,335 passengers, as reported by La Razon. Boliviana de Aviacion captured 86% market share over this period, with Amaszonas and Aerocon captured 7% of the market each. Passenger numbers and year-on-year increases broke down as:

Boliviana and Amaszonas absorbed the largest numbers of former AeroSur passengers, who, before ceasing operations in May-2012, carried 56,058 passengers in Jan-Feb-2012.
