Boeing rolls out first 787-10, flights due 'in coming weeks'

Boeing rolled out (17-Feb-2017) the first 787-10, the third member of the 787 family. The aircraft is assembled exclusively at the Boeing South Carolina manufacturing campus. The 787-10 will be prepared for its first flight "in the coming weeks". Boeing will deliver the 787-10 to airlines in 2018. The aircraft has won 149 orders from nine customers. The aircraft is a 5.5m stretch of the 787-9, offering approximately 40 additional seats. Range is reduced by about 900-1200nm compared to the smaller 787 variants. [more - original PR]
