Boeing has "a lot of confidence" in B787 test flight deadline

Boeing stated it has "a lot of confidence" in its plan to commence B787 test flights by the end of 2009, with CEO, Jim McNerney, stating Boeing has learned not to promise a timetable that it cannot meet (Reuters, 02-Sep-2009). Separately, Mr McNerney reportedly stated that demand for new aircraft remains "good" (StreetInsider, 02-Sep-2009).
