Boeing feels no panic over A320neo and narrowbody programme

Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Jim Albaugh said the company has seen no unexpected orders for Airbus and the A320neo and will not make a "panic" response over its narrowbody programme on the basis of the strong ordering for the A320neo (AP, 21-Jun-2011). Mr Albaugh stated Boeing has not seen "any of our key customers defect" and its comfortable with its position and will do the right thing for its customers.

Boeing: "While some may think we're dithering, it's because we're working with customers to truly understand what their needs are. It's no surprise to me that we have good customers that are talking about the neo. I would expect all of our customers to take a hard look," Jim Albaugh, President and CEO.
