GE Aerospace stated its GE9X engines, which will power the Boeing 777X, began rolling off the production line, with ETOPS approval targeted for later in 2025 and entry into service planned for 2026 after completing the most rigorous testing programme in its history1. Lufthansa is set to be the launch operator of the 777-9, with 20 on firm order and plans to base the aircraft in Frankfurt2.
